Love is All Around Me

I was at Spro this week talking with Ono about our favorite topic love. Everyone seems to be in love and wanting to move to that next level. Ono, Bob, Bobby..the list keeps growing.

The love conversation brought back all those emotions you feel when you fall for someone. The stolen glances, the moments that you don't want to end, the dizzying self conversation about, "Should I call or should I wait, maybe i should just pop over, can I text her now," and of course the agony you feel when your feelings aren't reciprocated. I hate that completely crippling anxiety.

As we talked and debated relationships, the conversation shifted to me and the question was posed, "When am I going to settle down?"

For cheese and crackers sake I have no idea! Christ! I can't even remember the last time I was smitten with a woman...my current crush on Alison Brie doesn't count. If you haven't watched Community on NBC you are missing out. But for me it has been forever since I have had any "romantic' feelings just lustful feelings for women. Every woman I have seriously dated started with my relationship radar going off and with me seeing her and saying, "Wow, who the fuck is that." The last time I said that was with Megan and that was forever ago.

Maybe my relationship radar is broken, maybe it is off line and I need to reboot. But how? Maybe the iPad has a relationship app or maybe what i should do is a series of random dates, Match.com or filipinobride.com

This looking for love crap has also been multiplied by all my friends and family having babies. I need to nail this down like yesterday.

Love is all around me and I can't seem to find it.

I honestly don't know what the big deal is. If you find it, you find it. What evs.

As of now... bang what you will...

I should note at this very moment that my love is dead...

You can ask your brother about it.

But truth be known, the biggest problem with finding someone is that we don't prepare ourselves. You cannot get hit by the train if you don't stand on the track.

Stand on the track. And keep your eyes open.

like in anything else, all it takes is to risk it. if it comes to you, just jump and see where it takes you.
