What happens on Boxing Day? Who cares lets relive X-mas Day!!
I had way too much food. I'm still full from yesterday. I'm hungover from all the merriment. Gourmet Mac and Cheese and what had to be a whole pig worth of pork overwhelmed the already excessive amount of X-mas food.
There was only 20 of us but there was food for fifty. We had two kinds of pancit, lechon with home made sauce, crispy pata, meat loaf, ribs, ham, two sweet and sour fishes, fresh lumpia, fried lumpia, shanghai egg rolls, clams, 5 cheeses (humbolt fog, purple haze, brie, cheddar, manchego), 2 mac and cheeses one with bacon, spinach and crab dip, i know there was more but I can't remember it except the awesome cookies and creme brulee.
We did a Yankee Swap and a movie night package was the most traded present. This was our first family yankee swap and we all had fun. The game started with the traditional family rules discussion when someone injected a rumor that one of the Chris Criminal presents was underwear?!?!?!
The parents yankee swap was the best with mom and two aunts literally trading a cool coffee mugs and an awesome mixing bowl with pancake molds around for what seemed like an eternity.
The kids...let's just say everyone must have been nice because Santa's gift bag spat out endless gifts. Olivia and Elena were dressed up in Cinderella and Bella disney costumes and acted exactly alike they were adorably cute. The kids are awesome. Gift anticipation is hilarious, fidgeting sets in, the lone child exploring the landscape of packages searching for their name, their names are called only to be absorbed in the gift they are opening.
We had Secret Santa as well and I thought it was awesome and thank God Almighty for Elfster.
Karaoke- The Seed was practicing his set list but has tonal issues. OnoCoffee was belting out tunes like a true pinoy croner. I never realized how much people like Journey, Styx, and how much Taylor Swift and Miley was in demand. I tried my hand at Man Down Under and man I can't sing.
In true fashion the party was to start at 200pm...we didn't get there until 300pm but we didn't have everyone there until 530pm and we had another 7 hours of family fun time from there.
Feliz Navidad! Thanks to Rod and Ness for their hospitality!
