Suck The Marrow

Life is about experiences both good and bad.

I was going to catch a matinee over in a mall in Northern VA, I have not been there in over 10 years so I was excited to mix it up. I know it doesnt sound exciting but when I lift my life time ban on a place it must be for a special occasion...oh yes and the special occasion was Chick-Fil-A and a movie called Pirate Radio.

Because of NoVa traffic we did not make the movie so in order to salvage the mission we got some chicken sandwiches in the most depressing mall in America.

Imagine, the neon lights of the 80's, drop ceilings faded and water stained, and the plague for all food courts an Arby's. Not to mention, the food court is in the basement of the mall. The food court is the heart of any good mall, you can people watch and get an Orange Julius. In Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Mark Ratner, our geek hero, wants to work in the food court because that was where all the action "is." In this food court this is where people went to die. It was littered with angry families and old people sitting alone by themselves. The loudest coming from the Bourbon Chicken lady. I was depressed.

What I learned...keep lifetime ban on visiting NoVa.

Oh for all my CapitolSwell readers, I'm back.
