Yes the two shows are one in the same. Once you start space time continuums and loops yeah the shows become the same. Daniel Farayday sends messages forward and backwards in time much like Lt. Commander Data. You always have to close the space time breach .... Ugh no originality in TV and Lost was supposed to be that but the fraking writers ripped off TNG.
