In search of Filipino food

Manny Pacquio ate here! That's a 3 star Michelin endorsement if I ever heard it. Over Turkeyday holiday our auntie wanted to eat at a Filipino restaurant. Now that I have been to a few I know this. I'm not a fan. Not of the food, I can always eat home made Filipino grub. I'm not a fan of the restaurants. They aren't restaurants they are extended dining rooms/ living rooms. It's like you are eating at your Aunts and you plant yourself in front of the big screen. I never feel like I'm at restaurant which makes the experience too casual. I don't want a Filipino Flingers but can't it be more bistro. Sharpen up your dining room and let the focus be the food.
