My United Mileage Status Defines Me

I saw the new Clooney movie.  It was good.  It did made me question myself...what else is new.  Clooney is striving to hit the mythical number to achieve ultimate status.

So what does my mileage level say about me.  For a brief time i was premier executive...I got gold tickets...it was awesome because when i traveled i got to hang out in the lounges with the free food and drinks and i could board whenever i wanted.  I was coming home from Taiwan one trip and had a long layover in LA.  My work colleagues were wandering around and i ducked into the Star Alliance lounge it was incredible.  These sanctuaries when you travel make me happy.  Lounges with sushi and ramen and showers and you are out of the terminal desperately looking for a place to kick back.

In all my travels I have spent most of my time in VIP lounges.  Someone brings me a coffee, there is always internet access and in evitably i fiddle with the television looking for CNN and end up on some crazy channel watching Buffy in a foreign language.  I was in Morocco and it was boiling...I remember asking the person who served me hot sweet mint tea, you drink something super hot to sweat to cool down, and i asked if it was always this hot in Morocco...yes...and a minute later he rolled in what can only be described as a an industrial AC unit and turned it on.  The room went arctic in a few minutes.

Up your mileage, do segment runs and live in airport lounges it will change your life.
